Ophthalmologists, in addition to primary eye care and optical care needs, provide medical, laser and surgical management of various eye diseases. The average cost of these visits can range $100 to $200. Surgical costs, generally not covered by insurance can cost much more:

  • Laser Vision correction (Lasik, PRK etc.): $800 to $4000.
  • Cataract Surgery with Advanced Technology Intraocular Lenses: $2000 to $4000
  • Blepharoplasty and other eye plastic surgeries: $1500 to $5000
